Psalms 139:2
“You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.”
This scripture can be especially comforting … or, cause one to be anxious. I wonder how other people, Christian and non-Christian, feel about a God knowing everything about them. Everything they have done? Everything they are doing? Everything they are going to do?
I imagine emotions would vary greatly:
- scared
- disbelief
- awe
As a Christian these words “You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.”, should bring “a peace that passes understanding”. When we accept that God is All-Knowing, God is Love, and that God loves us, we should feel like we’ve been set free. Because we have been set free! We have nothing to hide. Accept, embrace, and take comfort being in His presence.
